If you've ever used an SEO page optimization tool such as Surfer SEO, Frase, or Page Optimizer Pro, you may have noticed that they typically scan an article and compare it with a set of predefined guidelines.

However, the issue with this approach is that each article is unique, so a single set of guidelines may not be universally applicable. While some tools, like Surfer, go a step further by scanning competing articles to provide recommendations, these recommendations are often merely the average of what the statistics from the top five articles indicate. For instance, they might suggest an optimal word count for your article based on the average word count of the top five articles. But what if those top five articles are not the best benchmarks? In that case, the tool's guidance may be misguided.

These tools also offer keyword suggestions, but where do these keywords originate? They are typically derived from an NLP (Natural Language Processing) algorithm that identifies the main entities within an article and then selects the most frequently occurring keywords from the top-ranking pages.

The issue is that just because competing articles include certain keywords doesn't necessarily mean that your article should contain the same ones. Moreover, I believe that optimizing a page involves much more than simply incorporating a set of potentially irrelevant keywords.

This is the very reason I created PagePilot!

It goes further by actually reading and understanding the topics and articles that your content is up against. It then generates tailored suggestions based on a deep comprehension of the content, ensuring that recommendations are not only relevant but also strategically advantageous for the article you're looking to optimize.
